Rode all the way from Syracuse to Rome today. Some interesting things in Canastota, which I had already explored. Buzzed through Oneida, only to realize that I had to backtrack to see what I wanted to see. And even then I couldn't get back there; not even walking. Saw the Erie Canal Museum in Rome. Their railroad is up and running, but they were only running the diesel today. Found some portions of the NYO&W still in rails dating from 1921. Slept at Fort Stanwix.
