Walked the Andes Rail Trail on a snowy March 22nd. Didn't plan to bicycle it, which was a good thing, because they explicitly only allow foot traffic. I suspect that's because when the trail reaches the end of the railroad portion, it turns and head up the side of the hill. Not good for bicycling. I've seen pictures of it without the snow and the ties seem to still be in place. That makes for pretty awful bicycling.
